Hi! I’m Kailani, trail name Yonder Girl. This is my first blog. My mom says that when I say “first blog” that means I will be making more. Umm. I don’t know about that. Let’s see how this one goes first.
Yonder Girl at Bald Hills
Bald Hills in Jasper National Park
I am in 4th grade and my favorite subject is Science. I love nature. I think it is beautiful and it smells nice. Except the smashed giant millipedes and animal poop and bird poop and mosquitos. They like to bite me like… Bite! Bite! Bite! Bite! BITE! And then I’m itchy, itchy, itchy, and VERY ITCHY!!!
Hiking Cane Creek
Cane Creek Canyon Nature Preserve
Our family hikes a lot. So I wanted to show you what it’s like to be outside in nature and how we prepare for our adventures. You’ll get to see pretty flowers, shy animals, cool scenery, amazing rocks, and fantastic waterfalls. (The waterfalls are actually really, really pretty.) Basically, all the pretty stuff that I see. I’ll also show you the things we use that actually work like packs, shoes, and other gear. Most of all, I want to inspire you to go outside, find fun right where you are, and to feel confident in yourself. Feel proud of yourself.
Öxarárfoss
Öxarárfoss in Þingvellir National Park
I hope that after you have an adventure you will share it with me. I would really enjoy having guest bloggers share their own stories and encouragement. My mom and dad and I would love this to grow and grow. With lots of other women and girls sharing their adventures and stories. Maybe you will be one of them?
Malign Lake Cruise to Spirit Island
Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you will have fun outside and enjoy nature. Most of the time, it is REALLY fun. Some of the time, it’s not really fun. BUT, no matter what, I will always be muddy on the inside. Onward!
